Optimizing anything boils down to two essential elements:
1. Doing more of what you want to happen
2. Doing less of what you don't want to happen
For example, if you want to optimize your profitability:
1. Make more money
2. Lose less money
If you want to become leaner:
1. Do more of what makes you thinner
(Walking, hitting the gym, eating salads, fasti g)...
And..
2. Do less of what makes you fat
(Eating junk food, watching TV, hanging out with fat people)
If you want a more successful business you should strive for more innovation...
Because it's absolutely true that the companies with the fastest rate of innovation win the most often.
So to innovate more rapidly:
1. Innovate more
(Experiment more often, don't be afraid of failure, keep pressing forward)...
And...
2. Do less of what stifles innovation.
Yesterday I posted an Elon Musk quote about innovation and Elon Musk himself responded.
The quote I posted is:
"Innovation comes from questioning the way things have been done before."
~Elon Musk
And Elon replied:
"Too much respect for authority inhibits innovation"
So remember, if you want to innovate more:
1. Do more of what promotes innovation
And
2. Do less of what stifles it
Reading and consuming powerful information is a great way to accelerate your ability to innovate...
And there are tons of innovative insights inside my book about Elon Musk...

I'm doing a limited time promo to celebrate the great tweet Elon sent me.
