Happy Monday!
As I write this I am sitting at a desk in my garage sipping coffee and admiring how much the organization efforts I invested all day yesterday paid off…
Today I feel fantastic because for the first weekend in as long as I can remember…
(Since before COVID I think)
I spent the weekend alcohol free.
Typically my weekends involve way too many beers and a brutal headache Monday morning…
But not today.
I’ve been starting every morning by chugging a water - plus I drink water before bed - and I find this helps me wake up feeling fresh…
The way I feel reminds me of this “Feel Good Starter Pack” meme shared by Elon Musk…
It’s so true that first we make our habits…
And then our habits make us.
In fact I read a great book on habits (The Power of Habit) and it revealed how habits hardware themselves strongly into the core of our brains: The cerebellum.
This is part of why habits are difficult to make…and why once we make them they are so hard to shake.
But if you can realize this truth of human nature and create better habits (or shake bad habits) your life can drastically improve for the better.
Not sure what habits to change and improve?
I recommend improving your actions by optimizing the following six areas:
Fresh air
Exercise
Water
Rest
Good Diet
Sunshine
In fact these six areas of life are so important I think in the next few emails I will address each of these areas directly…
