I heard said that God will shake us up if we don't move when He tells us too. We belive at the time that we are doing what's best and when we realize something is wrong it is usually too late. From what you shared you were in a sort of self destruct mode. Not sure if you had or have a lot going on externally. Usually that is what leads us down that path. Health and Mind are important.
During my challeges I have learned that my enemy is using the same exact tactics that he has always used against me. So instead of concentrating on the attack this time I am concentrated on strengthening my mind in order to fight the war not just this attack.
Sort of like playing chess. If you can't plan ahead and evaluated the possible outcomes you will never win the game!
